WALKING.
There are many interesting walks in and around Granada. Of particular interest are the areas around the Sacromonte, the Vega, the Cumbre Verde at La Zubia, and the famous Laguna of Padul - the southernmost wetlands of Europe with its
Roman Road
. There is also a selection of

available, organised from a village in the Valley of Lecrin. These walks range from easy to challenging, and are all extremely enjoyable.
THRILLING TO FLAMENCO.
Flamenco is is high on the list of things to do for many visitors to Andalucia. Flamenco is believed to have originated in the Sacromonte area of Granada. It is an exciting dance, practised throughout Spain,and especially Andalucia. In the Sacromonte, the cave houses are still inhabited by gypsies and it is here that you can enjoy the high energy and emotion of REAL flamenco. We can recommend a variety of venues in Granada and

where tourists can witness and even take part in this special dance. It is a must-see for anyone wanting to see the Real Spain.
SKIING.
For the best skiing in Spainīs top location for winter sports there really is no choice - go to the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains. For most of the winter the skiing is made just perfect by the brilliant sunshine. And from the top of the Veleta peak, when the days are clear, skiers can see across to Morocco.
The Ski village is just 30 minutes drive from Granada. You can hire equipment and even hire the use of a trainer to improve your skiing technique. For many people skiing is one of the "must" things to do in winter. It really is an exhilerating experience for all levels of ability.
Go there in summer, too, for a different view of life in the mountains.
BIRDS, FLOWERS AND WILDLIFE.
We have wide abundance of wild life in and around Granada, in La Zubia, The Sacromonte, Lake Malaha, and near the
Laguna at Padul. Regular feathered visitors include the bee eater and hoopo birds. We often see the Marsh Harrier gliding above. One of the favourite things to do for bird-lovers is to simply sit, and watch, and enjoy. The province of Granada in Andalucia also boasts a wide range of rare orchids and wild flowers certainly worth looking out for. Why not go for a stroll and just see what you can find here.
GO QUAD RIDING
There are two excellent quad hire centres just half an hour from Granada. Enjoy the thrills and the views and the freedom of
quad riding
in exciting safety.
SPANISH GUITARS. In Granada there is a famous "calle" (street) known locally as Guitar Street. Here you will find many guitar makers who will happily show you how well their guitars are made and will be pleased to serenade and entertain you so that you can hear at first hand how their guitars resound. The rich notes are bound to make you want to dance or to cry, depending upon the song played. Certainly worth a place on anyone's things to do list.
PLAYING GOLF.
What better way to enjoy the stunning views and excellent weather of southern Spain than by having a great round of golf. There are three very good golf courses all within easy travelling distance of Granada city, with even more on the coast.

WATER FUN.
There are two wonderful water parks within easy travel distance of Granada city. The one in Granada, Aquaola water park, has stunning views over the city and the one in Almuņecar has lovely views out to sea. Both have cafés, wave pools, a great fun mixture of slides, Black Holes, chutes and a host of different things to do. The water parks can easily provide the whole family with a wonderful day out.
LAZING AND SUN-BATHING.
Finally, letīs not forget one of the main things to do for many of the guests who come to Southern Spain.
They simply want to rest and have a delightfully easy holiday to recoup from all the stress they wanted to get away from.
There are many woderful beaches within a half an hourīs drive from here. And, of course, there are also many relaxing and lounging areas in the area.
