With Such a Wide Selection of Quads in GranadaThere Is No Reason For You Not To Enjoy Yourselves
The first time I rode on some quads of Granada was a day I remember very well.

There are two quad hire centres within a half an hour or so of our bed and breakfast accommodation and so we chose to hire from the Alpujarras' centre for our quads of Granada.
The three of us set off in good spirits - my nephew Nigel, his son Tom and myself.
We had pre-booked an hour and a half of quad hire in Granada and we set off in good time to get there for the agreed hour.
I was really looking forward to it as some clients had already been quadding a couple of months earlier when they had been out on a "lad's weekend" of golfing, football watching and other macho activities which included riding on quads next to Granada. They had said that their session on the quads had been fantastic and so I was looking forward to experiencing some thrills myself.
We got to the centre and booked in, and within just a few minutes - after being issued with our helmets, gloves and goggles and having a brief course of instruction on the controls and techniques of quad riding - we all set off!
As we turned the corner onto the first section of track I shouted the magic words of "Eat my dust" to Nigel and Tom. (For as long as I can remember I´ve wanted to say that to someone and I wasn't going to miss out on an opportunity like this!!)
Our guide was Francisco. As he had already asked us what sort of terrain we wanted to go on, and how skilled a group we were, it was easy just to follow him and take our cue from him for the correct speed and direction to take etc.
I must admit that riding my quad was e-a-s-y.
With automatic gearing I was able to concentrate on the road, look at the views, chat with (well, shout to, really) Nigel and Tom (and Francisco) and I really enjoyed myself. This quad rent in Granada really was the bees knees!

Some of the tracks we went along were exciting and needed my proverbial iron-clad concentration to make sure I didn't slide off the edge of the road, but it just added to the excitement and enjoyment we were all having.
All too soon our hour and a half session was over. We drove back to the centre and returned the equipment. And immediately went to the cafe for a l-o-n-g and c-o-o-l drink.
Guidelines for Riding Quads in Granada - Make sure the groups are not too big. Our group consisted of Francisco leading the three of us. Three or four quads in the group are plenty.
- Unless you are super skilled at riding a quad and you know the terrain around the hire centre, make sure you have a "supervisor or a guide" ride along with you all.
- Wear protective equipment including helmets, eye protection and gloves.
- Wear sensible footwear. Not flip-flops or sandals.
- Long trousers are advisable. On some quad bikes the engine cowling can get hot and you will appreciate a little extra protection. If riding on loose stones and gravel, long trousers will also protect your legs from the odd stone that gets thrown up from the ground.
- If you are not familiar with using gears make sure you have a quad bike that is automatic.
- Enjoy yourself.
If you are staying with us at our bed and breakfast Granada accommodation, we will be happy to pre-book quad sessions for you. Just email us
with your details and preferred dates and times that you want to go on a quad in Granada and we will do the rest.
