"Here's how to get the most out of your property." And it doesn't really matter whether you want to buy or to rent something - whether it be for just a few days or longer. There are so many properties to choose from. Before we found Los Limoneros, our own property Granada, we first of all visited several different areas within Andalucia and chose to move to the Lecrin Valley. And we bought a house in Padul. That was in 2001. We were actually the first English people to move into Padul and the novelty value we brought to our neighbours must have given them lots to talk about amongst their friends!  Because there is no set price for a house - you will find the same property for sale at different prices , high and low, by different agents. And it was the high prices that prospective buyers were being told by the "expensive" agents that originally prompted us to be of assistance to those who wanted to rent or buy in our area. Many spaniards just put a Se Vende (for sale) sign in their window or garden. They are notorious for not wanting to pay commissions to estate agents. And so anyone limiting themselves to only buying or renting from English speaking agents will also be restricting the choice of properties available to them. There is an alternative we offer. As well as using our knowledge of the locality to help you buy or rent to your satisfaction, we can also help set up appointment(s) as you require to view local houses within your price range. Whether you want to buy a new building off-plan, or an old cortijo requiring major renovation you immediately face difficulties. Why? Because unless you live near enough to the property to be able to "keep an eye" on the work that goes on in your absence, you are going to have to take an awful lot on trust - and risk disappointment. We recently had a couple come out from their homeland to do a final check on their property before its completion, only to find that no building work had been done since they were last here several months before. Having someone "on the spot" could be invaluable in keeping an eye on what was happening to a property when the owner is not here. Project and Property management
Sometimes, for instance, a new property owner might require some tiles laying to extend a path, or a watering system installing for plants. And many don't relish the idea of spending their "holiday time" chasing up workmen or getting quotes, for work to be done. |
