What happens during a Massage treatment?
If it is your first treatment with me, I
check through a brief, and totally confidential medical history and lifestyle consultation with you. This helps me make sure you get the most benefit from the session. Also there are specific medical conditions which may need your doctor's permission before a treatment can take place, i.e. epilepsy, cancer and very high blood pressure. These
conditons will be covered in the initial consultation.
I then leave the room so that you can get yourself ready (towels and dressing gown is provided). And then you lie on the massage table, and cover yourself with the towel or sheet provided. Once you are ready I will knock on the door before coming back into the room again. After making sure you are comfortable, I start the massage. I use a light oil, lotion or powder in the massage. You are underneath the sheet or towels at all times and are always covered, with only the part exposed that is being massaged.
Always you will feel comfortable, warm, secure and safe. When my massage from Granada is finished I leave the room again so you can get dressed again. Finally, I will discuss with you the conditions
I noted during the massage
What should I wear during the massage
First and foremost,
the important thing is that you feel comfortable and safe, otherwise you will not be able to relax and enjoy the session. You only remove the clothes you are comfortable with removing. For a full body massage, some people leave their underwear or swimwear on and some clients undress completely. The general guide is that you undress to the level you are comfortable with.
What do I have to do while I am being massaged?
All you need to do is to lie there and enjoy. You may want to change your position during the massage to make yourself more comfortable; other than that, if a part of you needs to be moved, either I will ask you to move it, or I will move it for you.
Many people enjoy the feeling of just closing their eyes, relaxing and doing nothing.
Is it better to talk or to be quiet during the massage?
If you are new to massage with me I will occasionally ask you if my level of pressure on individual muscles is comfortable for you. I want to make sure the pressure I apply is just right for your requirements. It is your massage and so if you prefer to talk, talk. If you prefer to be quiet, then be quiet. If you ask me which is better, I would say
it is better for you to just relax and enjoy in whichever way suits you best. Tell me what you want and I will happily oblige the best I can. I want each massage session you have with me
to be the best it can be.
What benefits can I expect to get from a massage in Granada?
You will feel relaxed and cared for. Your worries will feel farther away and more manageable. Your nervous system will work better after the session. If you have been working out then tissues and muscles will repair and renew themselves more quickly and efficiently. Your lymph system will have been stimulated and enhanced and so lactic acid, uric acid and other bodily wastes that may otherwise stay within your system will be cleared away and prepared to leave your body when you subsequently go to the toilet. Your skin and whole being will feel clearer, smoother and glowing.
You will feel good in yourself.
How often should I have a massage?
For anyone who has a specific concern in their health, then a programme of massages could be the best for you. This is best discussed face to face according to your needs and concerns.
Once any initial problem has been dealt with, then
a maintenance programme of one massage a month should be sufficient for you to keep a continuing tip-top feeling, although some people prefer a massage more often than once a month.
Massage boosts your auto-immune system, helps you get rid of wastes and toxins and improves the circulation and absorption of healthful nutrients. For many people, one session a month will help to maintain that for you.
