This joint pain relief system can help you control your own pain
"Suffering from joint pain could soon be a thing of the past."
Joint pain relief.
Sometimes, that is all we want.
When we have stiffness and pain nagging at us in our joints, the urge to find relief can be at the front of our minds every waking hour of the day.
But what is the best way of dealing with pain and stiffness?
The answer depends upon what is causing the pain.
When we have an acute pain, if we can locate and deal with the cause, whether it be an infection or damaged tissue, then the pain should go away.
However, if we have chronic or ongoing pain, the cause can be difficult to locate and treat. And, strangely enough, the pathways that the pain travels along, via its sensory receptors (nociceptors) can actually be difficult to turn off. In fact, these nociceptors can even continue giving the sensation of pain even when the original cause of the pain has been stopped. In these cases joint pain relief can seem to be impossible to find.
We all need joint pain relief at some time in our lives
Joint pain relief and the release of stiffness in the joints sometimes requires a combination of different treatments in order to deal with these factors and to finally enable the problem to be "cured".
Such methods could include:-
- Taking analgesics, although, since pain killers only mask the problem, in some ways they can help make the problem worse by allowing the person to continue with the same activities that caused their pain in the first place.
- Physical therapy and physical exercise, including massage and the application of ice and/or heat.
- Psychological therapy such as cognitive and behavioural therapy, and
- Energy applications such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and/or trigger point therapy
But What Is The Best Way To Relieve Pain
There is no "best " way, but often a very effective way of relieving most pain is quite simple. We do it by causing the areas around the inflamed nerves to relax, thus allowing more oxygen to flow into the area and thereby bring an increased blood flow. This has the effect of causing the pain signal to turn itself off, which in turn gives the joint pain relief that is craved.
Essentially it is the lack of blood and oxygen in the painful area which causes the pain.
Increase the blood flow.. decrease the pain. It can often be as simple as that.
In the past, when my clients have asked how they could best deal with pain and stiffness in their joints time limitations have often prevented me giving the detailed information asked for. But I recently came across a ground-breaking book where all the explaining has been done for me. The book explains will show you how to use "Trigger Points" to deal with joint stiffness and how to get that joint pain relief that means so much.
The technique involves applying short, repeated massage strokes to tiny contraction knots in muscle tissue (trigger points) where restricted circulation and lack of oxygen cause referred pain. (Referred pain is pain that is felt next to, or at a distance from, the origin of an injury). Trigger points create pain throughout the body. And they do this in predictable patterns, producing discomfort and pain from mild to very severe levels.
Deal with the trigger points and you automatically deal with the pain they are causing - all at the same time.
"The problem with the chronic pain is, if it is not unbearable, that we can get used to it, adapt to it and alter our lives somehow, so after a while we stop realizing how hard it is and how limited a life we have. It affects everything we do, everything we plan, everything we feel and think. We cannot live our life to full potential because everything is tied to the pain, but the worst thing is that we begin thinking that this is normal, this is how it is suppose to be and we forget how it is to enjoy pain-free life...... (now) I don't feel any knee pain at all. My whole life has changed .....I wish I discovered the book 10 years ago." M. Turczynowicz-suszycki
In actual fact, pain and stiffness in our joints can often simply be "referred pain" from related trigger points. And once someone knows how to find the points, and how to stimulate them, joint pain relief and stiffness can become an easily managed and straightforward process for many people.
Massaging the appropriate trigger points increases circulation and oxygenation in the target area. And this in turn can produce instant joint pain relief and comfort from stiffness.
When trigger points are the cause of the problem, trigger point therapy can be used to help deal with - Arthritis.
- Buckling knee where the muscles are weakened and can give way without warning.
- Chest, Abdominal and Genital pain.
- Elbow, Forearm and hand pain.
- Growing Pains.
- Head and Neck pain.
- Hip pain and stiffness.
- Knee Pain and stiffness. The quadriceps should be the first place to look for the cause of pain and stiffness in the knee
- Locked Knee.
- Mid back, Low back and Buttock pain.
- Muscle tension and Chronic pain.
- Plantar fasciitis, formerly called "dog's heel" in the UK and sometimes known as "flip-flop disease" in the US.
- Restless Leg Syndrome.
- Runner's knee.
- Jumper's Knee.
- Shoulder, Upper back and Upper arm pain.
- Stiff Knees.
- Stiff Hips.
"I got this book as a last resort after experiencing numbness and pins and needles in my hands for several months for which conventional Consultants could find no cause (I was scared.) The symptoms ceased within twenty four hours of working the trigger points." Heather S. Robinson
Even when a hip or knee joint has suffered a verifiable physical injury, trigger points in associated muscles usually contribute a major part of the pain. And referred pain can be every bit as intense and debilitating as the "real" pain you can get from a damaged joint.
Clair Davies, a nationally certified massage therapist, simplifies Travell and Simons’s extensive research into myofascial pain in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment for Pain Relief . Quite simply, she makes this powerful system easy to understand and shows you - in step by step process - how to apply it to yourself.
To be honest, there are some people who are suffering from a different type of pain, and in these cases, trigger point therapy will only bring limited joint pain relief. However, research is now showing that even all fybromyalgia patients have myofascial trigger points that contribute significantly to their pain problem. It can be surprising just how many of us are affected by trigger point pain without our realising it.
"I cannot believe how this book has impacted on my life. After a week, my moods are constant due to the relief of pain without having to use drugs. ......I'd be happy to pay £100 for this manual."
In our current busy lives, even from a time saving aspect, there is no subsitute for learning how to control your own musculoskeletal pain.
Treating your own trigger points goes directly to the source of this common pain and can lead you to living a virtually painfree life. And, once you know how, you can do that in your own time and in your own home, and at a time ot suit yourself.
The best advice I can give to anyone looking to find joint stiffness relief or joint pain relief is "buy this book". It could literally give you a brand new life..

"This book is fantastic. It is very easy to use - lots of diagrams & well written. It has "pain maps" which help you identify problematic trigger points and then goes on to tell you how to treat them. This makes easy for non-professionals to use." Ms. L. D. Stout
