Hairstyles Or Haircuts In Granada Can Be As Modern Or Traditional As You Like.....

You can get great hairstyles or excellent haircuts in Granada and many of the surrounding villages. Sometimes, though, it can seem a problem because you can feel spoiled for choice. In even the smallest village there are usually at least two or three hairdressers. And if you are here on holiday you really want a haircut that leaves you feeling good about yourself.

The Spanish like to look good - they spend a high proportion of their disposable income on buying fashionable clothes, looking after their skin, and having their hair done. Many villagers even go to their hairdresser every day of the week. And so you will find an abundance of hair salons for styling and haircuts in Granada Provence.

And if speaking Spanish is not your strong point, an easy way to get your desired hair style is to take a photograph of yourself sporting the hairstyle of your choice and showing it to the stylist before he/ she starts your hair cuts. Invariably he or she will be able to duplicate the style you want.

Another option - if you do not speak the language - would be to take a picture from a magazine showing the celebrity hairstyles you prefer....

We have found two wonderful salons for hairstyling and haircuts in Granada - they are in Padul , the gateway to the Valley of Lecrin.

Padul is a village just 15 minutes away from Granada city. It is situated just a few minutes from our bed and breakfast Granada and so is very convenient for our guests to visit there. In Padul you will find plenty of free parking as well as a good selection of cafés, bars and restaurants where you can agreeably pass the time before or after your hair appointment.

Padul has several hair salons - some unisex, some catering for females only and some traditional "barbers" for men only.

Carmen's Unisex Hair Salon

Our favourite unisex hairdresser's (pelucería) offering hairstyling and haircuts in Granada is "Carmens" which is owned and run by Tere. Her salon in Padul has only recently been remodelled and so it now has the most modern equipment for modern and traditional hair styles, cutting hair, washing, drying, colouring and hair extensions.

At the time of writing (August 2006) the price for a colour shampoo and blow is approximately 26 euros. A cut, colour, shampoo and blow is approximately 35 euros. Tere operates by appointment and so we will be pleased to arrange an appointment on behalf of guests staying at our bed and breakfast accommodation. Francisco's Barbers For Men Only

Our other favourite salon is run by Francisco - a man's barber's who specialises in the traditional cutting of hair with scissors and comb. He offers hair cuts, styling, and shaving - for men only. No women.

Unfortunately he does not operate by appointment and so we cannot make advance arrangements on behalf of our guests. However, we will be pleased to suggest the times when he is most likely to be without clients so that it should be easy to slip in as and when your haircuts Granada are required.
