"Music in my favourite city. How wonderful""
The 59th International Granada Festival of Music and Dance promises to be the best dance and music festival yet.

Literally thousands of people congregate to the city for the four weeks that the Festival lasts for. And the artists, bands, groups and visitors all combine to change the entire spirit of the city while they are there. It is a truly amazing experience to be part of.

The Festival lasts from 24th June to 14th July and the music starts at 10.00 a.m on the first day with the group Scatter. They will be performing on the various bus routes of Granada.

And, all too soon, just a month later, the Granada festival of music and dance ends on Wednesday the 14th July 2010 at 22.30 p.m. At this time the concert tribute to Miguel Hernandez begins at the open air Theatre in the Alhambra's Generalife gardens.

Music and dance pleasures include:-
  • Café Concerts in the Festival Concert Café in the Alhambra Palace Hotel.
  • Performances in the Outdoor Theatre in the Gardens of Generalife.
  • The "Festival of Small" performing music, dance and puppetry - suitable for children of all ages - at the Alhambra Theatre.
