Great entertainment in Granada for you.
And you could really be spoiled for choice

You will find entertainment in Granada wherever you go. And a lot of it is totally free.

Whether it is watching the festivals, flamenco, the fiestas, visiting places of interest or even watching the street entertainers, there is always something for everyone.

But lately a new form of entertainment has taken to the streets - it is called "Flash mob".

This is where a group of people, without warning, suddenly assemble and start dancing and moving to music - performing what seems to be an impromptu performance for the full entertainment of whoever may be there at the time.

The mood is always happy. many passers-by just stand and watch, entranced by the dancing and the music. Some people are even tempted to join in. At least with the singing.

And who can blame them?

Just a couple of weeks ago, in May, more than 300 people performed in a flash mob, dancing to the music of the Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.

Granada Flash mob rehearsal

One of these Granada flash mobs consisted of a group of 75 students from the University of Granada's School of Rhythmic Activity and Sport.

They mingled with the students of one of the Institutes of Secondary Education in Zaidín (an area of Granada) and at the chosen moment the music started and the eight minute performance began.

And on April 30, the same group of students performed another flash mob entertainment session at Granada Bus Station.

Where will they strike next?

And, perhaps more relevently, how would you react if you were there?

Not only is it free entertainment. It is free entertainment in Granada!!
