To enjoy a great holiday - stay in a bed breakfast Lecrin Valley. It's wonderful!

Slightly south of Granada lies the beautiful Vally of Lecrin (the Valley of Happiness).

Enter into this oasis of peace and white villages and you find the orange and lemon groves, olives and almonds and all the rural charms that go with them.

Many visitors to Granada stay in the Valley of Lecrin and visit the city by bus or car whenever the mood suits them - it's just a convenient fifteen-plus minutes away.

The Lecrin Valley

Padul, situated at the gateway of the Lecrin Valley, is the richest village in the area. It is just 15 minutes to the centre of Granada and has a regular bus service, taxis, an olympic size swimming pool, a 24 hour medical centre and all the shops you need. Padul village also has the famous Laguna which is excellent for walking and for bird-watching.

Other villages within the Lecrin Valley (Valley de Lecrin) include Durcal, Lecrin, Mondujar and Talara.

Murchas is set in an orange and lemon grove valley. Chite has lovely views over Beznar lake and Beznar, Melegis and Restabal offer more variety within the Valley. Pinos del Valle has excellent facilities plus the local pine trees for walking. The view over the Lecrin Valley and Beznar Lake is outstanding.

Other villages include Saleres, Conchar, Albuñelas, and Cozvijar with its cave houses. Niguelas is situated near the Sierra Nevada national park, and Acequias has some of the most beautiful views on the Valley.

Being between Granada and The coast, the Valley of Lecrin offers the best of both worlds. It boasts the peace and beauty of the Countryside, but is near enough to Granada and the Mediterranean Coast to make it simplicity itself for the times you want to visit them.

The Valley of Lecrin is about an hour and 45 minutes away from Malaga airport and just 30 minutes from the airport of Granada.

Lovely rare 250 year old house tastefully modernised and situated in the picturesque village of Pinos del Valle. Easy access.

Six en-suite bedrooms, each with windows and inside shutters. Kettles are provided for teas and coffees.

WiFi available. Fully heated in Winter. Owner speaks English, French and Spanish. Guests' sitting room and dining room, “Mexican/Moroccan Patio” with a small pool and a large roof terrace with sensational views of the Lecrin Valley and the Alpujarra Mountain range.

Breakfast included. Dinners and picnic baskets can be provided by prior arrangement with the owner. All bedding is made of natural fibres (Cotton sheet and wool/cotton blankets).

This attractive Spanish farmhouse has been converted into a beautiful Bed and Breakfast and small Hotel with five en-suite bedrooms.
