La Herradura
The seaside village of La Herradura lies on the Costa Tropical.
It is situated to the west of Almuņecar and next to the beautiful Marina Del Este with easy access to the autovia and to Granada, Malaga and Almeria airports.
The village originated as a result of local fishing and agricultural work. The worker's families either tended the locally grown fruit trees and the sugar canes of Salobreņa or they went out to sea. There are still fruit trees and sugar canes to be seen around although the fishing community has now dwindled.
The area of La Herradura has a marina, sports facilities, football grounds, sailing and windsurfing. There is also horse riding, mountain biking, scuba diving and golf less than 30 minutes away. And for the more adventurous there is paragliding to be enjoyed. In fact, there are plenty of benefits in looking at this apartment for sale in La Herradura.
