The Alsa bus in Granada takes you places you want to go

Last week the Alsa bus company helped us to have a wonderful day out.

We went to Seville, which is about 250 kilometres from Granada. It takes less than three hours by car. And about the same by bus. But when we considered that driving for over five hours (there and back) and then having to pay for a day's parking, we thought it would be a pleasant change to go by bus.

And so we opted to go courtesy of the Alsa Bus Company. The buses in Spain are very different from those I was used to in England. Here they are on time, clean, have air conditioning and normally the tickets and choice of seats can be booked on-line.

We actually decided to go via the Alsa Supra bus!

These buses are roomier with just three seats per row instead of the typical four. The seats also recline properly and are more comfortable. According to Alsa, these buses make the journey a really comfortable experience.

And we were delighted to receive a goody bag as we got on (see photo above)

What did we do in Seville?

To put it simply, we had a great time.

  • We enjoyed a sight-seeing boat trip on the River Guadalquivir the only properly navigable river in Spain).

  • We had a delicous Italian meal at the L’Oca Giuliva Italian Restaurant, and

  • Had an interesting time looking at the Sevici bicycle hire service automated and economical bike rental scheme which runs throughout the city centre.

Maybe next time we go to Seville on the Alsa bus we will take our bikes!!
